Hanoi Cable & Electric draws its own copper rod and extrudes PVC, XLPE and LSZH insulation for building wire, control cable and solar DC cable. The company also assembles distribution boards for contractors working on industrial parks in the north. Founded in 1999 in Hanoi, Hanoi Cable & Electric operates a 17,000 m² facility with 8 production lines and an annual capacity of 18,000 tons of copper conductor per year. Main equipment includes 2 rod-breakdown lines, 14 bunching machines, 6 extruders, a high-voltage spark tester and a fire-resistance furnace. Core materials are 8 mm ETP copper rod, tinned copper, PVC, XLPE and LSZH compounds. The company employs 201–500 people, including 7 R&D and 14 quality-control staff, and exports about 22% of its output to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, with 12 years of export experience across 3 countries. The factory offers OEM production to customer specifications and private-label programmes.
